How do I carry out my PoH for the DeFi Voyage?
In order to carry out PoH for DeFi Voyage, you will need to get some onchain attestations from the available partners. Available partners can be checked directly on the DeFi Voyage PoH Wave page at this link. More specifically, you will need to obtain:
One valid attestation from a Group 1 provider (of your choice)
Two valid attestations from a Group 2 provider (of your choice)
What are Group 1 and Group 2 in the context of POH providers?
Group 1 are high assurance POH attestation providers, meaning their methods are highly resistant to bots and sybils. Group 2 comprises methods that give lower assurance of humanity, allowing users to prove things like owning a Twitter account or having a certain amount of activity on GitHub.
I have obtained my attestations. What do I do now?
If you already obtained your attestations, you will just need to go on the DeFi Voyage PoH Wave page at this link, scroll down & click on “Complete your verax verification” and then click on “Start verification”. Allow for up to 60 minutes for verification to be performed.
Do I need to execute PoH before binding accounts?
No, wallet account binding is a separate process aimed at allowing users with multiple accounts to accumulate XP efficiently. This process is independent of the PoH completion.
Do I need to complete wallet account binding before XP is allocated?
If you want to get XP collected with a secondary wallet, to be minted on your primary wallet, you have to complete the binding before the XP minting process will start for that specific activation. Otherwise your XP will be minted to your secondary wallet, assuming there's a valid proof of humanity linked to it.
Is there a limited time to bind accounts using wallet account binding before XP is allocated?
Yes, once the minting process starts, XP will be assigned to whatever wallet participated in the activations, unless there is a binding. This means that users that wants to mint XP tokens on different wallets (primary) than the one used to participate in the activations (secondary), they must bind wallets before the minting process starts.
How important is Twitter for PoH? What if my Twitter has been hacked or banned?
The role of Twitter in the Proof of Humanity (PoH) process varies based on the specific attestation method chosen from a provider. If you lack access to a Twitter account required for a particular attestation, alternative options should be explored. There are various attestation methods available, and it's recommended to review the options provided by attestation providers to decide the best course of action for completing PoH.
What are sybil attacks? Will human verification prevent these?
In the context of our ecosystem and for this specific purpose, a Sybil attack refers to the misuse of automated bots (Sybils) to unjustly accumulate XP, detracting from the rewards intended for genuine users. Our objective is to maximize the XP distribution to real users who contribute to the growth of the Linea network. Human verification plays a critical role in this by ensuring that only authentic users benefit from the XP system, thereby preventing the prevalence of Sybil attacks.
How does human verification align with the principle of decentralisation?
Decentralisation manifests in various forms within our ecosystem. For our objectives, fostering a network dominated by authentic users is essential. Human verification is a pivotal step towards ensuring a robust user base that actively participates in and shapes the future of the Layer 2 (L2) and the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem. It is a foundational element in maintaining the integrity and growth of a decentralized network by validating real user engagement.
What is primary wallet & connect another wallet functionality on Intract?
The XPs for Linea DeFi Voyage are tied to the specific wallet you have chosen as primary on Linea DeFi Voyage ( the first time around when you started). It CANT be changed once chosen for Linea DeFi Voyage. You however can use multiple wallets for verification of other quests on Intract ( not Linea DeFi Voyage).
I want to attest via testnet Voyage NFT original recipient. How do I go about doing that?
To do this attestation, make sure your account has chosen the primary wallet for Linea is the original recipient. Then just scroll down & click on Start Verification - you should be auto verified in 30- 60 mins.
If you have the NFT in a different wallet, you can complete the wave specifically with that wallet & get XPs for this wave. Later on you can bind both your wallets on Linea as mentioned in FAQ above to collate all the XPs on to a single profile.
How to disconnect my secondary wallet if its already connected to the same profile I used for other waves ?
Just log out & login with a fresh social account not previously used on Intract. Then try connecting the secondary wallet to this profile - it should prompt you to disconnect the wallet from the older profile & connect it to the new profile. This way you should be able to disconnect wallet.
PS : We allow wallet connect / disconnect only once in 7 days to protect against sybil actors.
Wave 6 - What is it all about?
Wave 6 is about proving you are a human, not a sybil bot actor trying to unfairly claim Linea Voyage XP. Our objective is not to censor anyone or anything, but to reward genuine human participation and discourage bot misuse, especially in relation with XP collection.
Linea, at the forefront of such brand activations via web3 campaigns, integrates seamlessly into this framework. It not only facilitates on chain transactions but also aims to build a fair authentic community through this proof of humanity wave.
We are using the novel Verax attestation protocol to get this done. Verax is a shared on-chain attestation registry. Think of Verax as a distribution channel where issuers of attestations keep the attestations. Any protocol, dapp, or user that wants to use those attestations can easily use and compose attestations from the different sources that are available in that distribution channel
