Make a cross-chain or on-chain swaps to/from/on PolygonzkEVM for any token on Rubic exchange
Cross-chain swap atleast $10 USD worth of any tokens to Polygon zkEVM on Symbiosis
PS: What are Cross-chain swaps?
Cross-chain swaps on Polygon zkEVM enable the exchange of cryptocurrencies across different blockchain networks while leveraging the privacy and scalability benefits of zero-knowledge proofs. This innovative approach allows for secure, efficient, and private transactions between various blockchain assets, enhancing interoperability in the blockchain ecosystem.
Week 5 queries - Rubic
What is a legitimate transaction on Rubic Exchange for zkEVM Week 5?
Cross-chain swaps to Polygon zkEVM → for e.g. swapping USDC on Base to Eth on Polygon zkEVM
Cross-chain swaps from Polygon zkEVM → for e.g. swapping USDC on Polygon zkEVM to Eth on Base
Same token cross-chain swaps are also allowed
Swap on Polygon zkEVM → for e.g. swapping Eth on Polygon zkEVM to USDC on Polygon zkEVM ( or vice versa ) . This type of txn is no longer legit for week 5 Saga post Nov 17 9:30 AM UTC.
Min Amount: There is no minimum token limit. Typically swap greater than 5 $ for minimum slippage impact
Token combination: Any token pairs with sufficient liquidity
What is a recommended token to swap to ensure liquidity?
This depends on the network traffic & can vary. Our community has in the past often swapped Eth to USDC & vice versa.
What is slippage & how do you see it?
Slippage is the loss in the amount you obtain after a swap or bridge on Polygon zkEVM. You can check your slippage on the app itself.
How to adjust my slippage tolerance?
You can always adjust your slippage Tolerance before you conduct the trade; just click the icon at the top right of your swap panel and adjust the slippage to your preference.
How do I use Rubic Exchange for swapping?
You can check out how to use Rubic Exchange here.
I started a transaction on Rubic Exchange; how do I know it’s completed?
You should first check if your txn is legit by going to the PolygonzkEVM Scan Explorer here. Or you can check it on the app itself
If your transaction takes longer than 15-30 minutes to process, you can open a ticket on the Rubic Exchange discord server here. Please be aware of scammers; official admins will NEVER DM you first.
How do I check if my Swap is legitimate on my own?
Use the blockchain explorer (link here) & enter your address. If you have swapped, you can see a screenshot similar to this.
However, a txn being legit doesn’t guarantee its validity for quest verification ( for e.g. if it is less than the minimum amount post-slippage e.g. ).
My transaction on Rubic Exchange is complete, but it’s not verifying on Intract? What to do?
Be patient. Do your transaction, and come back in 30 minutes to verify again. Most likely, your task will be verified. Do a refresh / hard refresh (ctrl+ shift + R) just in case.
Common pitfalls
One of the most common reasons for tasks not verifying is that you did a txn with the wallet that is not your primary wallet on Intract ( check Q4 in general queries )- this is the only wallet that will be checked for verification. Please change the primary wallet & retry the verification ( you can connect another wallet from the same menu ).
Sometimes, if interacting for the first time with the protocol, you have to first “Approve” token usage & then swap or bridge. Please double-check if you have done both steps & not just Approve (check SS below for how “approve” looks like in your address on Polygon zkEVM Scan against your txn hash)
Can I miss my NFT because of delays?
If you complete a transaction on Rubic Exchange during the campaign window ( Nov 16, 12:00 PM UTC - Nov 23 11 59 AM UTC ) and have completed all the other quest steps, you WILL for sure be eligible to mint the fifth NFT anytime during the 6 weeks of the zkEVM saga campaign.
What steps should I take if I encounter insufficient liquidity during a transaction?
If you encounter insufficient liquidity, consider changing the token combination or the chain combination to ensure a successful transaction. Rubic Exchange team will also monitor their pool and rebalance accordingly.
What steps should I take if I encounter issues like this?
If you encounter this issue, consider changing the provider being used for the swap/token combination/the chain combination (in case of cross-chain swap) / a higher total amount to swap to ensure a successful transaction.
Week 5 queries - Symbiosis
What is a legitimate transaction on Symbiosis for zkEVM Saga?
Min Amount: $10 after slippage
Tokens combination: any token
Source chain: any supported chain
Destination chain: Polygon zkEVM
Does the same token swap from a source chain TO Polygon zkEVM count as a legitimate transaction?
Yes
What is slippage & how to see it?
Slippage is the loss in the amount you actually obtain after a swap or bridge on Polygon zkEVM. You can check your slippage on Symbiosis itself by clicking the settings button.
How do I use Symbiosis for swapping?
You can check out Symbiosis guide to cross-chain swapping here.

How to check if my Symbiosis tx is legitimate on my own?
Use the blockchain explorer (link here) & enter your address. If you have cross chain swapped, you’ll see a screenshot similar to this on Debank for source chain txn
However, a txn being legit doesn’t guarantee its validity for quest verification (for example if it's less than the minimum swap amount post-slippage).
On Polygon zkEVM the txn will look something like this on their explorer

If this is your first sojourn into the world of Web3 quests, let Intract help you understand what are swaps -
zkEVM (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine): This is a type of Ethereum Virtual Machine that incorporates zero-knowledge proofs. Zero-knowledge proofs are a cryptographic method that allows one party to prove to another that a statement is true without revealing any information apart from the fact that the statement is indeed true. In the context of zkEVM, this technology is used to enhance privacy and scalability by validating transactions without disclosing their contents.
Cross-Chain Swaps: This refers to the process of exchanging one cryptocurrency for another, but across different blockchain networks. For instance, swapping Bitcoin for Ethereum typically requires an intermediary, like an exchange platform, because these two cryptocurrencies operate on completely different blockchains. Cross-chain swaps aim to facilitate these exchanges directly between different blockchains in a decentralized manner, without the need for intermediaries.
Cross-Chain Swaps on zkEVM: When you combine these two concepts, you get a system where users can engage in cross-chain swaps using the privacy and efficiency of zkEVM. This means that users could potentially execute swaps between different blockchain assets while benefiting from the enhanced privacy and scalability that zero-knowledge proofs provide.
In simpler terms, cross-chain swaps on zkEVM would allow users to trade different types of crypto assets across various blockchains in a manner that is both private and efficient. This is particularly valuable in a landscape where there are many different blockchain networks, each with their own unique assets and ecosystems.
