What is BOB (Build on Bitcoin)?

BOB is an innovative hybrid Layer-2 solution powered by both Bitcoin and Ethereum. By leveraging the security, liquidity, user base, and innovation of the two largest blockchain ecosystems, BOB bridges the gap between Bitcoin as a means for mass adoption and Ethereum as a center for innovation. This is accomplished through BOB's rollup ecosystem, which uses Bitcoin for security while providing access to all the on-ramps, off-ramps, dapps, stablecoins, NFTs, DeFi, and other features enabled by Ethereum's EVM

BOB ("Build on Bitcoin") is the first Bitcoin layer-2 network compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) standard.

The BOB mainnet went live on May 1st, with over 40 projects and infrastructure partners active from day one, achieving an impressive $80 million in Total Value Locked (TVL) within the first few days. Season 2 is currently ongoing, allowing participants to engage and earn rewards in various ways.

4. Successful Launch and Growth: The BOB mainnet, which went live on May 1st, started with over 40 active projects and infrastructure partners, achieving $80 million in TVL within days. Season 2 is now live, offering multiple engagement and reward opportunities.

BOB Ecosystem Growth:

The BOB ecosystem has made significant progress in its mission and is leading the Bitcoin renaissance. More than 40+ projects are active on BOB chain so far.

BOB introduced the innovative points program, BOB Fusion, merging the strengths of both Bitcoin and Ethereum ecosystems.

In Season 1 of the campaign, BOB’s on-chain TVL soared to $300 million in just four weeks.

What is BOB Fusion?

BOB Fusion is the official points program of BOB, where users can earn BOB Spice (points) based on their on-chain activity on the BOB mainnet. BOB Spice represents your contribution to the BOB ecosystem, both now and in the future.

Season 1

Season 1 ran from March 27, 2024, to the BOB mainnet launch on May 1, 2024. During this period, users earned Spice by locking in whitelisted assets with different multipliers. The on-chain TVL for Season 1 reached an impressive $300 million in just four weeks.

Season 2

Season 2 began on May 1, 2024, with more ways to earn Spice based on on-chain activity. Here are the five ways you can earn Spice during Season 2:

1. Bridging Assets to BOB: Holding whitelisted assets on the BOB network accrues Spice based on the asset value and multipliers. BTC assets (wBTC and tBTC) receive the highest multiplier. The list of eligible assets is updated regularly.

   • Spice harvest meter: Low (depends on the number of assets bridged)

2. Supplying TVL: After bridging to the BOB mainnet, deploying TVL into whitelisted dApps earns Spice points for the dApps, which then distribute Spice to their users. Each dApp may have its own rules for distributing Spice. You can track Spice distribution on the BOB Fusion dashboard.

   • Spice harvest meter: Medium to High (depends on dApp distributions)

3. Actively Using BOB dApps: Using and interacting with certain whitelisted dApps directly earns you Spice, reflected on your BOB Fusion Dashboard. Participating dApps will share tips for earning more Spice on their Dashboards, Discord, or social channels.

   • Spice harvest meter: Medium to High (depends on user activity)

4. Referring Power Users: Earn +15% on top of any Spice your invites earn and +7% on top of any Spice earned by their invites. The more users you invite, the more you earn!

5. Quests on Intract: Users can harvest spice points by participating in the BOB ecosystem quest on Intract.

To celebrate the BOB mainnet launch, Intract is officially collaborating with BOB (Build on Bitcoin) ecosystem to launch the BOB SummerFest which will run concurrently with the BOB Fusion campaign. This on-chain program will span across a diverse set of applications over the next 6-8 weeks.

These quests are meticulously crafted to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of the BOB ecosystem's diverse set of Bitcoin & Ethereum dApps across DeFi, NFTs, Bridges, Gaming, Ordinals, and Runes etc.

Quest Schedule: Quests on Intract will kick off from 15th May.

Duration: BOB Ecosystem project Quests on Intract will last for 5 weeks.

New week, New quests: Starting May 15, 2024, participants can embark on a new on-chain quest every week, with each section of BOB’s ecosystem having its own dedicated week.

• Wave 1: Social & Bridging (May 15 - May 22): BOB, Owlto Finance, Orbiter Finance, MesonFi, Talisman.

• Wave 2: DeFi I (May 23 - May 29): Ice Cream Swap, Sovryn, BlueShift, Izumi Finance.

• Wave 3: DeFi II (May 30 - June 6): Shoebill Finance, LayerBank, Segment Finance, Memecorn,

• Wave 4: NFT Week (June 7 - June 14): Ordz games, Another world, Artoshi, PixelBOBs, Komet.

• Wave 5: POH Week (June 15 - June 22): Tentative, persona NFT, zkPass, Normis.

Spice Points: BOB has its own points called Spice points, users can harvest spice points by doing on-chain tasks on Intract.

How many Spice points can you earn & how to earn more?

The BOB ecosystem offers various ways to harvest more Spice Points, particularly through events like the Bitcoin SummerFest hosted on Intract. This event, along with other protocol campaigns, provides opportunities for users to boost their Spice points through participating in the quest on Intract.

Additionally, you can complete the weekly quests to earn more Spice Points. Overall, a participant can earn up to 10,000 Spice Points throughout the campaign, including 18 projects offering 500 Spice Points each.
